How do you decide on what color/temp HID's to get?
What are the differences?
I am looking at the kits R&J sells.

Thanks!

From personal experience, any of the higher temps that have the perceptable blue/purple tint seem to provide less visibility than stock incandensent bulbs, but the HID's I bought from Roe Racing (before they quit selling them) don't have any blue/purple tint and are definitely better than stock, so I would guess the lower temps would be the best. I don't know the exact temp of my Roe units, but the ballast says Phillips.

The higher temps seem to just be for the poser/ricer crowd.

I would not go over 6000K as the light will become more blue/purple and end up looking very ricey. 4-5K will give you a nice white light.

Depends on what you're looking for. The "cool" blue look or more effective lighting. 4300 degrees Kelvin is closest to white light, 5250K is closest to sunlight. I chose Philips 4100K for maximum lighting. I wouldn't go above 6000K unless you want to sacrifice lighting for the "cool" look.
