Chrome vs. Polished 10 spokes...

Any opinions to which looks better??

Someday, I was thinking of doing chrome. I like the 10 spokes best on a silver vert...

Found this on ebay... (I am not affliated with these guys in anyway.)

What's the best way to protect wheels like this, when mounting tires?

Oh, and anyone have pics of chrome on a vert SRT-10?

Go to a place that knows what they are doing. Ask them if they do that kind of wheel. Ask to see the machine. Ask them how they protect your wheel. Ask them if you can stand there and watch them do yours. Tell them these will be the most expensive wheels they've ever ducked up if they do.

Other tips are duct tape on all of the tire machine clamps etc. Put several wraps of narrow shrink wrap around outer rim lip until tire is pressed over it.

I just had my new iForged done at the speed shop at Motorsport Ranch and not a scratch. They were careful as I stood there watching. $60 all four mount/balance. No Viper tax. No chrome tax.

I could have sworn that your silver SRT-10 already had chrome wheels. If not you, then someone else on here with a silver car posted pics of chrome 10 spokes a while back.

I think the difference is hard to tell from pictures or from a distance. My hazy-ass stock 10 spokes looked nice and shiny from a distance and in pictures. Up close or when the sun was just right, they looked like poo from all the hazing.

My 10 spokes are at CalChrome right now. Had I known about that wheel exchange at LA Wheel I would have done it. CalChrome offers wheels exchange but not with any Viper wheels. I hate having downtime with my car. I don't think the core deposit they ask for is excessive. It's exactly what I would expect.

I shopped around a lot for platers before I sent mine to CalChrome. Everone says their method is the best and the method used by the other guys *****. CalChrome has many satisfied folks so that's good enough for me.
