I just got a 2001 ACR and it's sitting in the garage with no exhaust/side sills...waiting waiting waiting.

I have the high flow cats and I am waiting on the Borla system...estimated delivery date is March 3rd.

Then after getting plates and e-checked..its party time!

I am "in" for a summer of fun!

Couldn't wait until Monday. Got mine out today! Oficially out of storage - let the record show!
On the way to get gas just now, a young lady in a black Firebird stopped dead in the middle of the street and followed the Viper with her eyes. When I passed, she then proceeded on her way.
We're celebs, guys. Like it or not.

GraphiteGTS, I will be out and about tomorrow. Do you want to meet up. I would like to hear your Borlas too. I am close to the Ronald Regan HWY.

I have a 10-12pm window tomorrow, then a mtg. to go to.
I'm 20-min. south of the Brent Spence.
We need to convince Frank to lease his first Viper. He has the snake "bug".

Frank,
You must make Vipers a greater priority in life. One drive and you'll give up food, for ownership. To lease won't cost much more than the payment on a new Taurus.
Lease a Gen I and don't look back.
I sold my Jag, Vette, BMW and bike. The reason: I'm committed to VIPER NATION.

lol....easier said then done. Did I mention the job would also pay for moving out fo parent's house? ( Even though it is huge, in a really nice neighborhood, and I have my own "apartment" downstairs. ) However, I don't think living here with parents, and owning a Viper owuld be too embarrassing...lol

I'm at work now, at least I got to drive it to work. I'll take the long road home!

Got lots of good comments from customers. Although one gal called it a CORVETTE!

I was out running I-75 south of the bridge. Great day and tomorrow even better. I think I could have run all the way to Tampa if I had have had the time. Lots of bikes out but I saw no Vipers. (Of course, I don't see many Vipers anyway.) I did count 8 or 9 Vettes, though.

Out and about all day, 71N to Kings island area and on Fields Ertel Road, down to Hyde Park. Did not see one Viper. I would like to get together some weekend and see some Vipers!

Ok, so I am starting to get a little more "serious" about getting a Viper. I found out ( according to simple finance caculator ) I can finance a $35,000 Viper, with $10,000 down ( I can easily handle that ) at 6.5% ( variable rate of course ) for about 48 months or so for less then $600 a month. Does this sound about right ?

Frank,
You can get a great fixed rate now at lower than the rate you listed. Go for a higher mileage Gen 1 that has had good care and you'll be closer to 30K.
Keep your truck as a daily driver and you'll be set. Look, you have had 900 posts, which means that you are an interested Viper man. My only mistake was to wait so long to jump in and go for it. Each and every time I drive or even just sit in my car, I'm glad for the purchase.
Besides, if something terrible happens, you can sell it, and get out. That is your safety net.
I am 20 mins. south of the Brent Spence. I'll show you my car and let you get a feel for the Viper experience. I am not saying that the Viper is the only or even the best car. But, after owning 55 cars, I have stopped shopping. My next car will be another Viper.

Frank,
When you get your car, you can lead a pack of Cincy Viper owners all around the 275 loop. I used to ride that loop on my bike. About 85 miles.
Let's all meet up in a parking lot soon and look over our cars, then a short run. Could meet in my parking lot at work or a church parking lot. Speaking of which, for church goers, there is a biker's church off exit 183 that welcomes car types. I am going to take my Viper sometime.

Out and about all day did not see one Viper. Really, we have talked about it, but we really must get together for a little CN cruise one day!

 Randy....Dan.... Toby...all other Cincinnati Tri-State Vipers.
Lets pick a time to meet at the Kentucky Speedway weater permitting.
How about 1:00PM. We all meet at the place where you purchase your items.
Anyone have another idea?
I hope someone brings a good camera. I might be able to arrange for us to all get on the track at the same time. A picture of about 10 Vipers going thru 3 and 4 together would be cool.
Who else has some thought on this? Who got all the great shots at the track last time? :2tu:

I saw a red RT/10 with blue lettering on the side/hood area today and my wife saw a silver/silver GTS around the Fields Ertle area on Saturday.

Weather permitting I should be out and about later this week. I live in the Mason area.

I am finishing up the exhaust and a few other things on my new ACR. It's red, no stripes, an 01, with 500 miles on her. (I need to update my avatar)

Not sure if I can make the KY event but I do want to get together...maybe a some nice restaurants, cruise in's etc etc.

Hope to see many of you this summer.

Here are my pix from November at the KY Speedway:

KY Speedway Fall 2003 Pictures

They only let 4-5 cars on the track together at one time, but we could go out in shifts. Meeting at the track at 1:00 sounds pretty good. Does anyone want to drive down together? Last year we took some of the country roads, was a very nice drive.

Here is a video clip of my in car camera at the track from last spring:
