Hey guys,
One of my good friends father used to have a 2005 Viper but sold it 7-8 years ago. He had a Paxton SC kit on it, but the new owner wanted it removed. So now I have the option to buy this kit for a great price - but there's a catch.
It's only the parts that were on the motor. The fuel and ignition electronics were left on the car and don't come with this SC kit.
What would you recommend? Can I get these parts separately, are there better options to control the ignition and add proper fuel?
I'd love to see 650-750hp out of this go-kart, but at the same time I'd like to not waste money on something that I wouldn't really be able to use.
Any input is appreciated.

You never want to use the Paxton FMU anyway.

Upgrade injectors, in tank pump and add watermeth. Then have it tuned with HP. If you have full exhaust you can expect 700-730 whp.

The Paxton kit is a good system. I developed all the Viper kits in conjunction with Paxton back in the day. The basic package with the fuel system worked quite well on a stock
engine. It made good power, was safe and reliable.

Once you made any changes from stock, then changes needed to be made. Understand the production engine is limited to how reliable it can be when pushed too far. We made some impressive numbers with higher boost and better fuel, but the engine is fragile in stock form and knock sensitive. Many failures were experienced from aggressive tuning or improper changes to the kit.

The biggest issue is the pistons. The rings are close to the top of piston, to reduce hydrocarbons for emissions, but bad for supercharging.

There are ways to get better power out of a production engine if you want to PM me. Happy to share that. We did over 100 of those kits back in the day.
