Bet GM influenced that bracket choice?

"One technical note: One of our price brackets in the slide show covers a large field — the $50,000-to-$80,000 ballpark. The winner in this category is General Motors' Chevrolet Corvette. We made that particular price bracket so wide because of a dearth of competitive vehicles."

It's actually lucky that they made the cutoff at $80K. ;)
From their comments about the Viper (uncomfortable, hot cockpit, etc..), and them choosing the Panoz Esperante for the next most expensive convertible choice above the Viper, and the Corvette below it.

Their judgements were garnered on comfort and amenities, more than superior performance. :p
But at least they understood that part of the Viper's great appeal was that it wasn't a luxury car.

Not to speak about the Zonda...a work of art !
That Porsche looks bland next to these cars.

Bah DC should have put in navigation if that's what made the vette so good. :D No bigger cupholders for vipers! I need this to fit!

Maybe viper D should have sent his car and told them it's an 05 "luxury but still very very fast mamba" package. ;)
