Cooling hose melted to exhaust heat shield

The other day I was snooping inside the engine compartment, and on the right side of the compartment (facing front), between the engine and coolant pressure bottle, just below and to the left of the bottle, I found a radiator hose (3/4"??) melted to the exhaust shield. I pulled it away and inspected -- appeared it hadn't melted through. Not a good scene. Rigged up a harness to hold it back.

You all might want to check also.

Thanks Frank for the info, I'll check. I too make regular snoops in the engine bay, gorgeous ain't it, hot stuff under that hood.
