Thanks!!!

My shop just let me know the cam is done and heads are almost finished.
Once heads are done, should be another 2-3 weeks before I get my car back.
Kind of getting excited LOL!

Allright, dyno has been done on Mustang dyno and it was

Base
551.9 rwhp 552.2 rwtorque

Final
630.1 rwhp 595.5 rwtorque

I’ve been told this would equate to on a dyno jet
654 rwhp 619 rwtorque

The cam has a 22° overlap

Spicy! I always liked the idea of heads and cam over forced induction as it usually provides a more broad powerband. That's going to be one fun ride!

Just got home from picking the car up and the sound alone was worth it!!!
Sounds exactly like it looks now!
The power is amazing!
Even with 22° overlap, the car drives like stock and it didn’t lose any downlow power, gained from 4200 upward. The rev limiter is at 6800.
Also, there is an air swoosh sound I can hear which almost sounds like a turbo sound.

If anyone is thinking about doing heads/cam, contact JMBPerformance in Hillsboro MO! Excellent work and you will be astonished at pricing.

Anyone know what would make the air swoosh sound since getting this work done? Is it from the increased air flow which the port/heads/cam/valves caused?

The hiss of one Bad Asp ??

I clearly remember the change one heard when switching to smooth tubes and K&N's on Gen I's (along with removing that "resonator" connecting the two stock intake tubes) and Gen II's.

The Viper Hiss !!

Put together a little chart which isn't 100% accurate but it's pretty close.
This is SneakySnakes Arrow/ Viper Exchange H/C package vs my heads cam from JMB with a 22° overlap cam.

A great example of how peak numbers don't always tell the whole story! I always think of stuff like this when people talk about 4 cylinders and other smaller engines making huge power numbers. The peak is a cool number to brag about and is useful in drag racing, but the whole curve really paints the picture of how the car would perform in the vast majority of use. A nice flat torque curve like that means plenty of fun no matter where the revs are.

think i saw your viper down there when i made a few trips. What did that setup cost you? When i was just in there they said they dont do any motor work anymore, kinda surprising.

justin and whoever the front desk guy is. They both advised me to reach out to prefix or exotic engines for a motor build
