I bought a set of Harland Sharp from Roe and install was easy. Roe said for street use these are fine. Cost was around 650.00?? I think

TorqueMonster should pipe in here as he's viewed as an authority. (Well, at least in my mind and more than a few others!)

When DM installs the jesel rocker setup, what HP gains should he expect on a "not far from stock" engine ? I ask because my buddy wants me to get a set of roller rockers... (and a supercharger, drag radials, injectors, etc...) of course it's not his $ he is trying to spend !

T & D are tried and true on the Viper - most tuners will vouch for them. I believe the Mopar Performance roller rockers are the same as T & D.

Jesel are the best name in racing - but I can't vouch from first hand experience about their Viper product - however if it lives up to their racing products - it will be tops.

If I were building a serious all motor Viper I'd run Jesel - but their racing rockers not the street version. The racing rockers require machining of the heads etc so are for serious racing.

For street - if the T & D are cheaper I'd run those as they are proven, but Jesel would be a name I'd definitely try if i wanted to experiment.

When you guys say 'better', what do you mean? Other than the jesel's and T&D being easier to setup and quieter, are there any other differences for twice the price? I assume same HP and reliability. I just bought the Harland Sharp for $650. I hope I'm not missing out on anything!

Here are dyno measurments after each mod was added to my 99 GTS, including T&D.

Stock 99 GTS = 398 rwhp

Added mods with corresponding rwhp:

K&N, Smooth Tubes = 409 rwhp
3" Corsa Cat back = 420 rwhp
Bellenger Headers & HF Cats = 430 rwhp
T&D RR = 460 rwhp / torq. = 500 ft.lb(Best bang for the $$)

The same DynoJet was used through out, and all numbers are SAE corrected.

The T&D produced slightly louder valve train noise than stock upon acceleration, a reminder of the presence of an American muscle performance car.

My Viper Tech has no problems covering me for engine warrantee issues with Mopar/T&D's that he installed for me. If something happens with another brand RR, you might have difficulty getting coverage.

FWIW

look in the box..you'll see it comes with a adjustable pushrod to get ya setup with the correct pushrod length..read the paper in there and you'll see how to do it...i use a magic marker on top of the valve insted of paint to get the correct scrub area....Len
