Current APR rates?

I may be purchasing a 2006 Viper in the next few days/weeks and I am in the Pacific NW (Portland, Ore.) To anyone who has recently purchased a Viper or Dodge product, what are the prevailing APR rates? The Dodge website lists 6.88 APR on their financial calculator but I am hoping to do better than that (at least 6 percent if not lower). Is there a way (short of calling Dodge dealers in the area) to check this online? My credit history is spotless.

If you finance through a dealer its really up to them. They will run your credit and get a minimum APR then turn around and add a little on top for some profit. You should always pay close attention to the APR on your loan, there is almost always something added on that you can negotiate off...

I think the best interest rates are running around 5.5% now, obviously depends on the amount and term. I don't know if Dodge has any deals at the moment...

I noticed a rate table in the Seattle times Sunday and checked out the car loans. First Federal S&L in Port Angeles, WA was listed at 4.5% for new cars. Phone number is 800 800-1577. Hope this helps.
