I did a search and found info that indicates the problem is the defroster vent tube. Does anybody have specific instructions with pics on how to repair this problem?

I have the same problem with my 2008 coupe. I am hopping it is as easy as pulling off the face plate and tightening a screw:dunno:???

Has anyone had it fixed or repaired it themselves?

My dealer put a piece of foam or pad or something under the dash defroster grill edges--not high tech but seemed to work.

Scroll down this page and check out all the similar threads. The answer is there, and it is amazing that Dodge let this problem continue.....probably still needs fixed on the last Gen 4 coming off the line today!:omg:

The noise is from the captured soul of a Vette driver trying to escape.

Yes, the viper is too fast for him. The condenser coil just chills him to the bone.

Back to the fix. It is under warranty correct?

My '09 had the rattle and it drove me nuts !!!!
I finally got a small slot screwdriver and popped the defroster vent that is in the center of the dash up. (It comes out really easy)
Reach down inside the vent and you will feel the air-duct. It will likely be loose.
Mine just needed to be pulled up and re-seated onto the flange.
Simple as that. Over 2,000 miles so far and it has not rattled loose yet.

Can you see the foam? If so could you post a picture?

No, you cannot see anything. So nothing to photograph.

I do not know anything about any condensor tube, etc. On my 2008 Coupe you could just slap your hand on the dash near the center defroster grill and hear a rattle. The padding stopped this issue.

My dealer did the fix and was unaware of Dodge service bulletins, etc.
