Was in my local Kaybee the other day and picked up what I think will be a real collectors item (unless they know something we don't know)...It was a chrome plated 1:43? scale coupe model with a matching chrome license plate with the "manufacturers" name embossed on it....only problem.....it was a Chevrolet! plate!

Funny but when I tried to find that car with the appropriate "viper" nameplate-I wasn't able to find it. The one you found Joseph seems to be the only one that's available. It's been easily available on eBay for a year or so now so I'm not sure how collectible it is (or will be) but it's an interesting novelty.

Sounds like GM must have a strong influence on the manufacturer?

I don't know what happened with this "run" of cars.....just an error in packaging....I guess! Maybe it's "wishful thinking" on the part of GM!!

msdiecast.com lists this along with similar cars with the chevy plate as a "Recall" and ERROR. I wish I could find one.
