Tried searching, but I couldn't find any info on the differences. Could I put a 2nd gen motor in a first gen car? Will the motor mounts work? Flywheel/transmission bolt up? How different is the wiring harness? Any info would help. Thanks

Short answer...NOT a drop-in-swap-in. But I have seen a Viper motor in a Miata, so yes it can be done. The PCM and wiring and plumbing are totally different, and thats just for starters...

Gen 1 is what it is. (faster than anything else built in the early 90s..)
Want a faster car?? get a gen 2 or newer.... Way easier to mod etc...
