Help! Driver door on my 2000 ACR will not open. It acts like it is locked. I have to use emergency latch inside to open door . Anyone had this problem? Any advice?

what about the regular handle INSIDE? (as if you are sitting in the car, getting out) Any problem with passenger door?

Regular handle inside will not open door either. only way to open is with emergency handle .Help!

I just got the same problem on my '00 ACR Saturday.
I had my nephew's hot girlfriend sitting in it, then when everybody left and I backed it into the garage, presto, both handles on the driver's door were dead.
First I noticed there was no longer any ground on the latch motor. After remedying that the latch would only rattle a bit, but not quite activate. After removing it my electrician friend suggested I replace the passenger one that's still working with the suspected latch before I fork out $500. for a new one.
I'm in the process now of doing that.
