SoCal,

The Vette guys at my track seem to like the BFG's over the Nittos, although the Viper guys I've talked to prefer the Nittos. You will need a smaller rim to fit (Viper front rim will do).

The problem with the Viper is that it uses 6-lug wheels so your aftermarket choice is very limited.

I have a set of Nitto 555R's that I am not going to use - they are brand new. I'd sell them for a little less than you could get them yourself for, if you're interested. I also have a set of front Viper rims that I was going to use the tires for - don't need them either.

I need to get a better bite coming out of the hole, I don't want to pop for slicks, that means skinnies & half shafts. What can I put on the existing rim? Drag radials? Is there anything else? Also what are the prices and where can I get em. Also about how many tenths can I pick up from them.

Heh -- do I sense a note of fear?

The best setup outside of drag slicks is apparently 17x10 wheels with Nitto 555R drag radials. You can use a 17" Viper front wheel for the task, or get an aftermarket wheel. This approach lets you keep your front wheels & tires stock.

I couldn't find anything useful for an 18x13 wheel
