I just swapped out an older Kenwood stereo for a newer one & now my drivers door will not open from the inside??

It opens from the outside, just not inside. Any opinions??

Thanks

I'll wager that its unrelated to the stereo swap, and is just coincidental - its most likely that one of the wires in the wiring harness from the body to the door broke - do a search, its extremely common on Gen II Vipers.

To verify, open the door, pull one end of the rubber wiring harness boot free from the door or frame (easy to do), and tug ******* each wire - one (or more) will be broken, and will need to be spliced. If still under warranty, have them replace the harness (which is around $400 for the harness w/o labor).

Dodge MaxCare Warranty, hopefully that is covered.

There is a relay box that looks like a computer under the dash on the drivers side. This is where the wires run to from the door solenoid and switches. If your wires are fine in the hinge area check that out. But I would agree with Randy.
