Been searching the internet for a while looking for a drive shaft loop that would work on my Gen 1. Found one on EBAY that was made for NASCAR - $25. Made up a 1 3/4" pipe with end plates to complete the install. Next project is the half shaft loops. Better safe than sorry! :drive:

That's a very clean install. Were these one-off's or is someone selling copies on eBay?

The one piece loop assembly with bottom retaining rings was made for a NASCAR ARCA application. It was purchsed on EBAY from "USED RACE PARTS SUPPLY" in NC. phone: 828 777-3851. Not sure if more are available. The cross tube joining the frames is custom made. Total cost of parts, hardened cadnium fasteners, paint, etc. just under $100. I imagine that this installation increased the lateral frame support of the car while providing the safety loop protection. Next project are the half shafts for total piece of mind.

Brake and fuel line too close to the half shafts for my comfort level. :omg: Half shaft loops seem to be a good "piece of mind" upgrade.
