*DTC error codes* - need advice! car will not run

I am getting 2 error codes and my Viper will start run, sputter then die!?!

It ran great 2 days ago and today it won't run at all.

I am getting two error codes:

P0622 Generator Field F CTRL malf
and
P1296 MAP sensor No 5v reference

as far as I can tell the manifold pressure sensor is connected. Maybe I don't know where the sensor is, where is it located?

Anyone else ever had a problem like this? Car starts run's like crap then dies?

OK, Doug Levins nailed it. Thanks Doug! The VEC (or rather my installation of the VEC) was causing the problem.

I will need to soder the connections as the clamps must have wiggled loose. I not sure I ever got them on correctly in the first place!

had same problem.. loose vec wires.
i may have to get mine sodered too...
