Pretty accurate memory mnichols. I was on MacDill AFB trying to get to work the day that happened. The rain was like I hadn't seen before or since, so heavy you couldn't see your outstretched hand in front of you.
Please don't think we would race in dangerous conditions. Saturday night was clear and dry and during our runs we slowed when we came up on the tail lightes of other cars. The drag racing happened at roads where there was litteraly NO traffic.
