Engine 101 books

I would like to learn more about engines in general, more particular Viper engines. I know basically all the components inside the engine, but, like to learn more about cam specs, lift, lobe and all those terms. Anyone have a good recomendation?? Thanks in Advance.

This one isn't viper specific, but it is quite good:

Engine Builder's Handbook by Monroe

A viper is just a chevy V8 with 2 extra cyliners. The physics are the same.
