Good grief! A little sandpaper and some Spray Crylon (semi gloss if you choose) from your local hardware store should do the trick. No doubt a body shop would do it for you, but it will cost you $60+.

Dito Larry's tip. Back paint code listed for Viper model year 1997 is a interior color (Black) Chrysler code X9, PPg 9451, BASF 6329, Dupont 44219 or S-W Acme M-S 46006.

Are you talking about the removable cover that bolts on and is actually vertical? If so..they did not match the paint finish on the rest of the underhood area anyway. They are painted at another time with different paint. I would use Krylon semi-flat to very closely match the original. On one of my Vipers it was scratched from improper hood opening. I removed it, glass beaded it, and then painted with the Krylon. It looked perfect. One more thing...most interior paint codes are for flat colors.
