I installed the MOPAR ECU after getting the check light with my belanger system, and the light went away. I can't be certain how much power was gained/lost with the MOPAR ECU, but I do have the following data points:

'01 RT/10,
Intake / headers / exhaust, stock ECU and cats: 431 RWHP, 475 ft/lbs, 116.8 MPH in 1/4 mile.
Above plus high-flow 3" cats and MOPAR ECU: 438 RWHP, 485 ft/lbs, 117.4 MPH in 1/4 mile.

One possible alternative is to use Hennessey's O2 sims, but I do not know if those will clear the light in an '01 with the stock ECU.

I recently installed a complete Belanger system as did Sean of NJ and we both got the light. I tried to clear the ECU but to no avail. I understand that the Mopar HP ECU compromises power to the tune of ~ 25 rwhp - unacceptable.

I too am interested in a permanent fix. Who's got the key here?

Why not try a stock ECU from '96-'98 wreck?

What we know:

The Mopar ECU works in all GEN 2 cars so a stock Gen 2 ECU from any year "may" be backward compatible and also work.

The 96-98 Gen 2 ECU is not so sensitive as to always trip the SES light after mods
[/list]

Try switching them, for "off road use only" of course.
