Hey guys I can;t seem to find any threads on the proper way to shampoo our engines and the proper " gunk material " to use.

Recommendations would be great. I would like to give it a wash this weekend.

Thanks
Patrick

Simple green is the only soap to use . I cleans great ,won't corode the plated or raw metal parts , or discolor the painted parts . If it's very greasy in certain area's , you can pre-degrease it with some solvent or mineral spirits . When we clean motors , I will usually remove the throttle postition sensor , they are prone to getting water in them .
