"Steppenwolf"

Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space

I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that I'm under
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space

Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never wanna die

Born to be wild
Born to be wild

Yeah!

No, but only about two weeks apart. Had to go to a justice of the peace and explain why I should be allowed to keep my license. (showing my age) The "KWIKSILVER" comes from my dealer telling me what we all know now, silver is faster.

Favorite song while cruising? That sweet sound that comes from the two polished Corsa tips out back.

Don't listen to the radio. I listen to the car.

I've got two for you highway guys:

Tom Petty - Life Is A Highway
Bon Jovi - It's My Life (regular for spirited driving and the 2003 version for a more relaxed drive)

For those Metallica fans may I point out a part of Devil's Dance at about 02:15 into the song (as well as the song in general) :D :

"Snake.. I am the snake.. tempting.. at what you take.."

ac/dc ... pretty much every song they've made. does anyone need a list? :)

Allow me to start a potential list with their song that sprung the idea for my screen name here on the forum :) :

Inject The Venom

And an answer to people asking why on earth you chose a Viper over anything else ;) :

That's The Way I Wanna Rock n Roll (from the also very commendable Blow Up Your Video album).

2 of my favorites are Korn-Twisted Transitor and Disturb-Down with the Sickness.

Can't forget Stupified and 10,000 Fists in the air! Just make sure you're behind me if you hear this coming from my car!

You can almost tell the ages by music, kind of interesting, or not.

One of my driving CD's

"In-a-gadda-da-vida" Iron Butterfly
"Smoke on the water" Deap Purple
"All Right Now" Free
"Radar Love" Golden Earring
"Carry on Wayward Son" Kansas
"Too Much Time on My Hands Styxx
"Urgent" Foreigner
"Double Vision" "
"Gloria" Them
"Owner of A Lonely Heart" Yes
"Danger Zone" K. Loggins
"We Are Runnin" Lenny Kravits

over fifty...

Great list. I particularly like "Smoke on the Water", and "Carry On Wayward Son". My favorite Styxx songs; "Grand Illusion", "Come Sail Away", and "Renegade".

"Double vision" kind of scares me, from the point of view of the driver having it. My generation believes that White Lion actually did "Radar Love" (oh how wrong). And "Danger Zone" is from '87, the year of killer rock (also a great song).

But I'd be remiss to dismiss Van Halen's "Get Up" followed by NIN "Head like a hole" combined with a quad-shot, venti Mocha driving the right foot through all six gears into a helicopter based chase leading to my arrest and beating when the tank runs dry.

Oh, wait, that's bad.

That's what I get for being just past 30 and caffeine sensitive.

“Its Raining men” would be an appropriate song if
Your name is George Michael, and you are driving your Dolphin painted Lamborghini to the premiere of Brokeback Mountain.

Generally I listen to Trance and Techno when I am driving my Viper. It is the only thing with a fast enough rythm to put the senses into overdrive, IMHO.

If interested, check out the artists below. Many people judge Trance/Techno and know nothing about it. EVERY SINGLE PERSON who I have done audio work for, or extensive enough work that they hear this kind of stuff enough (I listen to it while driving and working on customers cars) ends up listening to it on a regular basis.

Andain: Beautiful Things
Armin Van Buuren: Sound of Goodbye
Ferry Corsten: Sublime (club mix)
Hernan Cattaneo: The Word
Paul Oakenfold: North Sky
Paul Oakenfold: Southern Sun
Paul Oakenfold: Hypnotised
Paul Oakenfold: Game Master
Tiesto: Dream World
Tiesto: Euphoria
Ultrabeat: Pretty Green Eyes

"Panama" by Van Halen

The first night I was able to put the top down on the Viper I had the radio on to an adult contemporary station. They were playing something by Phil Collins called "In the air tonight."

You might all think it is cheesey, but the song was famous for being in Miami Vice. Those of you who know this song, know exactly what I am talking about.

Anyway, most songs from Metallica, Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine, and Guns & Roses.
