I also have another story, and mine, although shorter and not as exciting, holds benefit because it is not fictional.

I got up early this morning to Zaino my '94 roadster. Car wash, then clay bar, then wash, then #1, then #5...you know the drill. I have the snake parked in the garage as I am detailing the hardtop and a 323i pulls up to park. Out jumps an exhuberant young brunette that could not wait to introduce herself and ask questions about the car.

"What kind of car IS that? It isn't a Ferrari, is it?" She asked if she could go in the garage to get a closer look.

She ran inside to change clothes for an apparent lunch time workout. On the way out she said, "I look forward to seeing you around here soon."

What is the over/under that we'll go on a ride together along the Pacific Coast Highway within 2 weeks?

Hey, are you saying I don't work hard?

Better be careful, my boss owns three Vettes and could end up with a Viper if he ever got some serious seat time in one (lives in Dallas). He expects 12-14 hours a day and gets most of it. Actually, I accrue all of my coffee breaks so that I can write up a decent post now and then. I have also skipped every nature break since 1986.

Bryan, I LOVED your post. I only wish that we had half as much action here as you get there. While there is a supercharged McLaren F1 with an auxillary Rolls Royce Trent-drive turbine (generating 70,000 horsepower and 104,000 pounds of thrust), I have to make a confession: My Viper is actually a Fiero-based kit car with a Briggs & Stratton motor from my previous lawnmower. We don't have any long bridges here, but we do have a one-lane bridge that is pretty exciting when you race to see who gets there first.

Dang it, I just can't compare with that awesome tale of a Viper in reverse...

Chris
