Fuel Pressure Gauge Install Question?

I was just looking at getting a fuel pressure gauge and read that with the autometter gauge I will also need a sending unit? Is this true? Also how do you install one of these?

So, to revive this thread I have a rookie question...

If one was to install a fuel pressure gauge, where would you tap in to the system for the install? I would be using an electric gauge vs. mechanical.

i would not be tapping into anything,have a exsperienced tech do this or u can all kinds of problems.

Tap into the schrader valve port at the passenger rear of the intake manifold. If you decide to log the autometer is not a 0-5 full range, it is a 0-4.5 range. This is straight forward and should not present any issues.

I did a write up in the illustrateds...

Adding a simple unit under the hood will meet 90% of people's requirements. Nothing more boring than a fuel pressure gauge. Got fuel pressure? Yep....At the right pressure? Yep...next issue..
