Is that ebay price the "norm" for GEN2 springs?

I have the Northwind sprBillet alloy, would I get approximately 1/2 the drop with them vs springs?

Thanks

Just called, thought I would grab a set myself, they no longer carry them!

yeah me too :( I called Eibach and they said they would need a vendor to order minimum of 100 to make another round of them.

Sorry guys :(

Have you looked into Intrax springs at all? I know they also make a set for the Gen1 and are priced a little lower than the Eibachs are.

One last time.......pm SNKEBIT. He can provide you with lowering caps at a very reasonable price.
Over and OUT.

I had a set on a 91 Mustang and they lowered it fine. I dont know if they are world class performers or would be my choice for a road course but for the price.........

According to the charts I have seen Intrax claims ~1" drop front/rear.

do you realize how low another 1&1/2 inches is???? You won't be able to go anywhere. I made my own lowering caps and prolly got about 3/4 inch lower with mine. With the front splitter on, it scrapes ALL THE TIME!!!! I have about 1&1/2 finger width between my tire and the wheel opening. When I( finished I didn't think it lowered it at all until I started driving around. Even minor crowns from heavy traffic will scrape! 1 inch max for lowering!!!!! There is no perfect road for driving on!!!! You posers that gotta have yer car in the dirt are nuts, you can't go anywhere. [******] is the use of having a nice car you can't take anywhere??? That's a nice way to get chicks,,, "sorry, you can't ride in my car, it drags the ground everywhere" C'mon people, this isn't a "**** my ride car".

SNKEBIT, I agree which is why I never lowered. I had a friend who went about 1 1/4 " lower and was miserable. Slow driving everywhere he went. Couldn't go into a gas station without problems. Any time we drove around it was a huge pain in the a*s. He had to always lead so I knew I wouldn't take him where he couldn't go. Stock and I scrape! I don't know how everyone does it. The cars look great, when they stand still.

2 inches is way too low.
I dropped mine an 1 1/2, but that was with a stiffer Eibach spring. Eibachs haven't been available for a Gen1 for quite some time. So lowering caps is likely your only resort unless you opt for a much pricier option (adjustable shocks). The problem, like Mitch was saying, is that lowing caps utilize your stock springs which are softer. Therefore coming in contact with the ground happens much easier.

For example, a friend of mine has the lowering caps on his '00 RT and I have the Eibachs. My car sits lower than his by about 3/4 of an inch (haven't measured, but it is noticable). Where I live there is a set of tracks that have to be crossed. I never bottom out crossing them, but one day I was driving his car and crossed them slower than I would normally with my car and I bottomed his out slightly
just my $.02

Alright thanks for the Input guys. I did not realize anything over 1 1/2 inches is too low. However, it looks like I may have a set of eibachs coming my way soon from a member who is switching to aldan's.

Hopefully with the 1-1/4 inch drop from the eibachs you guys are stating I will have no problems scrapping. We shall see!
