I found this 9 year old pic the other day. It was at Buttonwillow when we won a "relay race" with team Viper. It was a blast beating Team Corvette, Team Porsche and a vintage team

Yeah it actually was a photograph that I had to scan. The kid in the sprinter position did the running. We each ran 3 laps leaving from the hot pits and returning 3 laps later, the kid would tag the car coming in run about 50 yards and tap the waiting car to leave. We lapped the other teams in 15 laps.

Wow, 15 times. That kid was fast! Great story from the glory days.

Not that I know of, it was not a sanctioned event, we did during lunch mostly because the Corvette and Porsche guys were getting chippy and we had to shut them up.
