Quite interesting. Are you developing a self installed turn key package? ABS?

Do you use the stock SRT rotors? I need to go through my brakes before the next ViperDays here. This may be a nice upgrade.

There will 3 options, first will be a complete change over with G3 spindles, rotors, calipers, and M/C.
2nd is using adapter brkts,G3 rotors and calipers, and M/C, with abs cars no pro valve is needed, without abs pro valve is needed.
3rd is G3 calipers and rotors up front, with your old fronts(rotors and calipers) moved to the rears.
18" wheels required and no provision for p/b

More info as the kit developes, after driving a G3, G2 cars don't have any brakes!!!

I'm thinking on calling it Old Fart Racing :D :D :D :usa:

What price?Stop tech provides a rear parking brake and is certainly lighter in weight.Better cooling.Might be worth 1/2 the price of stoptech or so...Nice project.Same price or there about as stoptech and there is not point to a converted Gen 3 system Unless you are obtaining donor parts from wrecks. Can you just use the gen 3 nuckles for a direct bolt up? If so why dont you just fab out the nuckles and sell em for a whole lot less,But please dont use alum. Some of us drive our cars like smokey and the bandit. I have broke 2 driver side nuckles already jumping railroad tracks

So far no price yet, BUT, depending on the price of the brackets, that's the unknown until I do the finished bracket. GTS Bruce, Price should about 1/2 of the StopTech, and the Big Brembo kits, somewhere around the 3400 mark for all 4 wheels.
The SRT's are made by Brembo, the calipers are marked saying Brembo, plus they say VIPER on them :2tu: :2tu: :2tu: :usa:
This kit also uses all OEM SRT parts, except the brackets. 18" wheels required, remember there 14" rotors front and rear :2tu:

There is enough p/b kits out there for those that want them.I don't,I don't use it and never have.
I'm doing this kit for me, as I'm cheap :D don't like spending 6-8 thousand for brakes. Don't like paying Viper Added Tax  :D
BigBadCJ :D that would be some major dollars to do, you doing a little moon shine running :D
Malcoll, don't know for sure as I don't have any measurments off the bolt pattern for the front calipers. If you'll do that, I'll be able to tell you.
Thanks everyone for the reply's, more info after the holidays.

Hey Dave, great to see you post. And I like what you're working on, that will be great for all of us.

This is Tim, we met a few weeks back while I was waiting for my 97' GTS to arrive. It's finally here in San Diego! A beatiful Blue and White GTS, that I will take my time learning. I will see everyone soon. And post pics.

Not trying to hijack this thread, I am also excited about the possibility of this Brake upgrade.

Dave,
Is there an option for 17" setup? I have 2 sets of 18" rims,
but, I am the "lucky?" owner of an additional 3 sets of 17" CCW race rims...oh yeah and a bunch of 17" race rubber.

I dont need/have a parking brake.

Dave came over to my place the other day to take some foto's and some measurements on my SRT. His brackets look like they will do the job. He has some experience with enhancing braking on other sports cars, so this should be well thought out.
Don't think GTS with SRT brakes will brake as well as a SRT, due to different geometry, but think the improvement will be significant.
Best of success with this new enhancement. Vipers need lots of Whoa to go with their ample GO!!
