Gen III spotted on 101 in Santa Barbara!

So I took a road trip down to LA from the Bay Area this weekend...on highway 101 / 1 in Santa Barbara on Thursday afternoon, I saw a red Gen III come on the highway. I slowed up my GTS, got a good look, traded thumbs-up and watched him exit again soon after. Saw it from the front, side, and back with the top down...and I have to say it looked pretty good. Maybe it was just the excitement of seeing the first one, don't know. It had Michigan dealer plates, anyone we know?

The biggest impression was the front in my rearview mirror, the sides and rear were less striking visually. I'm glad to see that at least the dimensions distinguish it from an S2000. And it's always great to see another Viper on the road.

Amazing how everyone that has seen one on the road really likes them. I had the same impression when I saw one.

When I went to Timberline Dodge and looked at the '03 they had on display I asked them why they got to show it. The guy told me that they were testing the AC in California and asked if Timberline would like to have it for a few days. The one you saw was probably the same one.

According to Herb, there was an entire fleet of the new cars in california this weekend for press testing, it's most likely that that was one of those.
