Hey guys sorry if this is a dumb question but I was at Tomball Dodge today looking at the 100 ACR's they have there LOL. I really like the brushed metal fuel filler cap on the Gen IV's is this an easy retro fit? I am thinking I might want to powder coat one black or have one wrapped in carbon fiber to match my wheels.

Thanks,

I thought the same thing till I saw the price tag. They are about $1300.00 new.

HAHA Seriously that is just stupid. I wonder if we could get one of our vendors to copy the part for less.

Thanks for the info guys.

Did you get any pictures of the 100 ACR's available you could share??

HAHA no but I will probably be over there at some point to shoot a feature of another car they picked up. I will try and get some shots then.

They have 3 White ACR's with Black center sections, and red drivers stripe all facing each other nose to nose right outside the front door. It's really amazing to see all of the combo in person.

My favorite was a Graphite ACR, Black center section, a red drivers stripe, and black side winders. Car was amazing.

Hopefully they will soon find a home ( or shelter)...those hood vents are very porous to rain....

I think they're around 800 used or so at XVipers if he has any, they're a hot commodity though.

Also to fit one onto a vert like Flatout's, I've heard you have to dremel the fender for it to fit, but it can be done.

Question is whether its a mod worth 800 bucks or not.:dunno:

No it is not worth 800, I think it is barely worth 200 just to powder coat and change the look. I am fine with the one I got.

Thanks man appreciate it! Yes I agree definitely not worth more than 200$ if you wanted to retro fit it to a Gen III car.

Yep won't ever do it unless I run across one much cheaper than 800$

The question of whether it can be done, is yes, though it is not an easy task. Mark Jorgensen did one for one of our customers and few wanted to attempt it!

Does look killer, though pricey , as noted!

Thanks Bill I appreciate your knowledge:2tu: Too bad it's so much, for what it is, I would think Dodge could have sold a ton of those things.
