Getting BASS sound out of your RT/10 - What do you have? Subwoofers?

When my install is done with the shakers, I will be open for demos. If you overdrive them, yes they will be overkill. If you use them at the right level they will give you just the right punch in a punchless viper.

Sceptics..I say..bring it on..no better way.

Boom boxes in the footwell are for ricers.

Could someone out there with upload and post smashman's pics of his install? I'm at work and cannot do it from here.

Thanks!

neon lights on a viper?? Funny, everytime someone asks me why I don't have those on my viper, they are usually under 18.

Does anyone make the front grill light that the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT) car had...you know on the show in the 80's with David Hasselhoff! I want one of those, but I want the sound effects it had too, the whissshhh - whissshhh sound. Sometimes if I drink too much I make that sound while I play poker while moving my head back and forth trying to sneak a peak at the other player's cards! Everytime I do that, I think, @#$%@#% I need to get one of those KITT lights on my Viper!

I know a guy who has the Kit car. It is done in every detail to David Hasselhoffs car. Looks awesome. I will ask him next week where you can get them.

Patrick,

What a ***** I am!! LOL

BTW: My install is complete, but no bass shakers. I could not find a good place to mount them to the seat, so I gave up. I had a hard enough time running the rca's to the trunk. I will probably do a custom enclosure. Sounds 100% better with just a new head unit, xm radio and amp.
The best place for subs is in the trunk of the rt/10. If someone could figure out how to port to the interior we would all be in bass heaven.

Stang7900,
How did you run new RCA's to your trunk? I would like to get a new head unit and would to know what kind of "fun" I should expect running new wires.

Thanks

99BLKRT/10,

What a pain! After an exhuastive search and advice that did'nt work, I came up with my own way. Now bear in mind I had the seats out peeled the carpet, you name it, but no way to get back there. So I went though the gromet the center woofer is wired through on the tranny ****. If you go under the car all the wiring is run in the frame. So I ran 4 rca cables to the trunk and drilled a hole ( no other choice) in the bottom left corner of the gas tank hatch cover in the trunk.
Now for the remote turn on, I connected up to the existing DIN cable with a quick connect plug on each end.
Everything is working great.
If you need further info send me a PM with your phone# and I'll call you.

Stang7900,
OMG!! I can't believe it had to come to that. I've installed stereo systems for years and have never had to resort to something like that. I'm sure not looking forward to jacking up the Viper just to run wires. Sounds like you had some fun. I will definitely shoot you a message when I decide to run new wires.

Thanks!

you can run the RCA's if you take the pass seat out and rear bulkhead then use a wire fish under the rear window. It's a pain, but it is what most people do. Take out the grommet plug in your truck and shine a flashlight you should see light. I even ran my NOS wire switches thru there then into the ashtray.
