97 GTS with gold wheel and badges. What are these wheels worth. Thinking about selling them.

I seen these wheels a Viper for sale and it wasn't worth anymore than a regular Viper. The paint on these wheels is nothing special. Maybe way down the road if they where on the orginal Viper and in orginal shape, it would be worth something to a collector since only a small number came with this setup.

There were exactly SEVEN (7) of the 1997 Viper GTS's made with the gold wheels and side emblems, and all were red. This was NOT the gold package found on the RT/10's of that same year, which had tan interiors and of which only three are known to exist. The GTS's were all made with black interiors. The wheels alone are worth far less OFF the car than on it. Of course the guys that own the other six red/gold GTS's would probably pay you a fortune for those wheels just to bump their own car's rarity...

If you have a genuine Gold Package car I would mothball those rims and buy a set of cheapies to roam around in. Today they really aren't worth much but when the viper goes sedan in 2009 the collectablity of this car will skyrocket.

Same to consider if you're about to buy or have a set of genuine gold wheels.

Big money car collectors have a $$thing$$ for those "less than 10 made" lines...
