My car has an airbag light on about half the time i am driving it. Anyone have any recommendations for a dealer to do service work on the east side of phoenix? One that hopefully won't try and not fix anything b/c i have a supercharger on there?

I believe Bill Luke Chrysler-Plymouth, there is a viper tech there, some others from AZ should no who he is. Searched and I think this is he; Eddie Martin.

Eddie. Air bag light does not sound like a Viper-specific issue though. They used to have a good Viper guy at Ed Moses in North Scottsdale but her retired. Not sure how Viper service is at Ed Moses which is weird because undoubtedly due to their location they sell more Vipers than anyone else in town (Luke is kind of in the barrio).

Ya its probably not viper specific, but wouldn't mind having a good place near me that I can take it to for any issues. Was also thinking about getting them to put in the autoform roll bar while they had it.

Anyone had any dealings with the dealer on arizona avenue?

Since the dealer issue is here, how is Perfomance Dodge and Tempe Dodge?

Folks in PHX are very fortunate to have Eddie Martin @ Luke. I've been gone for 4 years but he took great care of my '94 and '99. He also supports many cars at the track events. It was not uncomon to see 2 or 3 race cars at his shop along with a number of stock cars. He is also well respected by the factory and if he thinks it's a warantee issue it's a done deal. Most of the other dealers in Phoenix dabble with vipers except for Ed Moses. I lived near Moses and never went there, while they may be OK I remember that dealership has wrecked a few vipers, I've never heard that happening @ Luke. Your fortunate to have Eddie and his experience!

I hear ya, DC performance is 60 miles through LA traffic for me. Personally, I'm nervous leaving a viper at a place that doesn't work on them on a regular basis, too many folks in the shop think it's Christmas and take the car to lunch. I'd be extremely nervous to take a S/C car to a dodge dealer, too much temptation! I believe only Eddie would ever touch your car and he's very careful! Also, he'll go over your car and make meaningful observations or recommendations.

See below, once bitten twice shy, the board is filled w/horror stories about people screwing around with customer cars, instead of going to DC in LA I had a very reputable exhaust shop put on a new corsa and cats, looked what happened!

How the heck did that even happen, did they get rear ended?

Ya after have a local shop install the S/C i ended up having to take it all the way to DC just to get it fixed up :) It ran like crap and they did a horrible job locally.

They got it sideways and the r rear hit a phone pole, front slameed in a curb. Best wishes, heading to the beach with some friends from PHX, stay cool, good luck!

No, The shop is an independant shop but he might be able to set something up for you. They have alot of contacts in the local Viper community. I personly wouldn't go to any of the local dealers here in Phoenix i have seen the work more than once show up at the Viper House. Just my opinion :2tu:

Read the story a few posts down from Keneth Krieger, one in the gen2 forums from the Dyeguy, and there are many others in the valley with stories just like that. If you dont go to Eddie you might have a story to tell just like that. GO TO EDDIE!!!!

Ditto Eddie Martin. Not only a great Viper tech. but great service too. Earlier this year my 05 SRT wouldn't start, and no luck jump starting. I called Eddie and he said it's likely the battery and have it towed in. I asked his recommendation for road service. He said he could come out the next morning with his own flat-bed and take care of it. This would be Saturday morning and over 30 miles away in Fountain Hills. Fortunately I was able to get it started with my trickle charger. I drove it in to Bill Luke Monday morning, and Eddie promptly installed a new battery. Now that's service!

Take it over to Eddie Martin at Bill Luke. Most owners would die to have a super qualified Viper tech only 39 miles away. I would rank Eddie as one of the top 10 in the Country , so thank your lucky stars and take it over there. He won't be awestruck, want to run your car around the block for no reason, and he is very conscientious.

Tell him hi and let him know I said he would work for minimum wage because of his love for Vipers, ha.

Eddie Martin!

I have used the dealership on AZ Avenue for some minor things, and am usually disappointed. Last time took them 4 days to replace an O2 sensor...

Call Eddie. 602-448-1587

Alright, I am biased. I use Eddie Martin and have do so for years and though four vipers. I drive 250 miles one way to have him service my car and he has come out here to Havasu several time to pick up my car when I did not have the time to drive it to Phoenix.

London worked on my car when he was with Fat Albert (I had them install my short gear diff as I do not have a lift) and probably when Belangers installed my exhaust as London also did work for Jerry and Lou (who are buddies with Albert [Al subleased Jerry's old shop for awhile]). No problems to report, and other than Eddie he surely has had his hands on more Vipers than anyone else in town. One question I have: the intersection of Cave Creek and Union Hills has really been redeveloped in the last five years, not sure where a small shop would be in that area. Is he working out of the house by any chance?

I know there are some new commercial buildings on the East side of Cave Creek Rd, he might be in one of those, although I have never seen any Vipers in that area.

The Viper House is located south of Union Hills, Closer to Bell on Cavecreek. He has worked on my last two vipers a gen2 and a gen3 with lot's of mod's done on both. It's funny you guys mention Eddie because they help each other on Viper problems. London is a great guy and the one thing that sets him apart from the others. He works for himself and has NO employee's to wreck your car. And when your car is in his shop he works only on your car till it's done.

Any High-School Senior working at a Dodge dealer with a scan-tool can read the lite. Get down on your knees and thank the Viper gods that EDDIE MARTIN at Bill Luke Dodge is only 39 miles from you. [Ditto Chuck Tator, Dan Cragin, John Gastman, Rick Maxwell (Woodhouse) and a small handful of others]

That private shop mentioned may NOT even be able to perform warranty work...

Eddie is great, but will get crucified for doing anything outside the box on a Viper.
As far as I know there isn't a dealership in the country that will allow their mechanics to perform the installation of a S/C, TT, and/or tearing into an engine and giving it a couple hundred extra HP.
Thus the backyard mechanic/speed shop route.

Hmmmm.....interesting post above. Woodhouse puts in S/Cs all the time and lots of other goodies and I know Eddie Martin can put one in your car too. I would have put one in but my car is going on eBay this week(I am also selling my 1966 Cutlass which my father bought new and I have had since I was teenager.)

Ya most dealers I have seen will do S/C etc. Asking them to port your engine may be out of the question, but bolt ons seem fine.

My car is already S/C'd i just need the air bag light off. I may hook a scanner up to mine and see if I can diagnose it myself. I think its just a lose wire, which makes sense why it only happens sometimes.

You're right on that point, but I know that Eddie is forbidden to touch anything aftermarket "inside" of the dealership, if you read between the lines.
I talked to London, and he does work out of his home with a 1,400sf garage, but he only does N/A motors, and will not touch the internals of an engine.
