Hi everybody.

I have a 2001 GTS and in my country (Austria/Europe) i must now show them a officially fuel consumption for the new taxes

In the car papers stands nothing about it.
Was there ever a officialy Data about it anywhere?

The car was originally imported from Canada

I have read on wiki that in the US the GTS was rated to 11,2 L,that would be perfect if thats true :D
Here in europe nobody can help me with this problem :(

Hope that anybody from you can help me out of this mysery :)

Thanks

Daniel

I don't know what will be considered acceptable "official" numbers or documentation by your bureaucrats; but, here is the US Government website that lists what I would consider the US government-recognized miles/gallon fuel consumption. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymake/Dodge2001.shtml

It seems that this called window sticker would be the best option.

But how do i get one of those with the Vin of my Viper standing on it?
Must i contact Dodge/Chrysler directly in the US?

Thanks

The Viper Club has arrangements to get reprints from Chrysler; but, Chrysler can only provide reprints for cars made within the last six years. There is no need in the US to have this document after the car is sold; so, it is unusual that Chrysler was even providing them for the 6-year time frame.

There is a club member who prints reproductions of the sticker and will put your VIN on it; but, it would not be an "official" document. His email is in post #10 here: http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/648953-Reproduction-Window-Sticker

Since they were all built the same way (at least all destined for the same country were the same), then you may be able to show that your VIN is for a particular year (2001) and then show the window sticker for a 2001. Getting THE original window sticker for that car from an official source may be impossible to do 11 years later. Hopefully they'll work with you....after all its an old car and you're not trying to trick anyone with this kind of data...
