Actual cash value for insurance purposes $75,000.Most of my mods are in my sig.I had the car appraised by James Sandoro(Nationaly known appraiser,consultant,expert wittness)He guarantees authentication on old cars back to the first made,exotics,hot rods etc.Not ordinary cars.Will not authenticate corvette because of the amount of cheating.He is local to me and set up the Buffalo transportation Pierce Arrow Museum.He looked my car over noting condition of body,interior etc.Wanted specifics on how many built that year,that color etc.Wanted to know the list for the car,what I paid.Wanted a description of mods and approximate costs.The appraisal is a full page.He keeps a copy.I got 2.One to keep and one to turn into the insurance co.Put car on the road today and turned in recent doccumented pictures and 1 copy of appraisal.Insurance office accepted the pictures and appraisal putting them in my file thus accepting the stated cash value for insurance purposes.Push come to shove he goes to court to testify for you against the ins. co. in case the car is stolen,written off etc.Cost to me at my house $160.You take car to him $120.While he was in my garage he got several calls.They were given call back times to discuss needs.One person wanted him to go to Florida to check out a car and 2 other calls were from California.LISTEN UP ONTARIO VCA and local guys.Maybe a few from Pa etc. would be interested.He suggested showing up as a group on A Saturday to view the museum and he would be available to do multiple appraisals.BTW my ins.co. is State farm.
