Whent to open my 97 GTS hood friday , The fron popped up normally but when i went to the cowl to pull up it would go any where, I didnt force it, paniced a little bit & ran & got some help. With 2 people pulling had the same resuly . It would lift 12 inches or so but I felt it was bending so i backed off & took a step back. I had been driving it in some rainy weater for extended miles ( about 1000) as well as attending some events @ locations that had a lot of beach sand. I crammed myself under the limeted opening @ shot all the pivot points & springs with som high tech penatrating grease & waited 20 minutes, Eventually it opened to normal heaight. I cleaned the springs & hinges thouroughly & relubed. Now if I open it form the drivers side it opens with some delacacy, if I open from the passenger side The bottom of the fender rubs againstsomething & it dosent want to open. Any suggestions? Thanks
