Based on your past experiences, what you have read, or heard about Hennessey Motorsports, would you do business with them?

Please note that I have no experience with HMS, I'm just curious to see what the general consensus is.....

This poll isn't going to help me much. I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe, that since it's original posting at nearly midnight eastern, that 54 votes have already been placed (6 hours later), given the "usual suspects" that frequent this board. Give me a break! No way!

I have never done business with HMS, but will do business with someone someday. But someone (more than one??) is stuffing the ballot box here. My problem with all this is:

1. How do we know that people aren't just signing in under different names (or some other means that defeats the "mechanisms") and voting more often than once? Given Mark's zealous efforts to destroy HMS, I wouldn't put it past those types.

2. You should only vote if you had real life business with HMS. I find it real hard to believe that 54 folks that visit this board, let alone those since midnight last night, have ever done business with HMS.

3. How do we know folks aren't just jumping on the bandwagon -- they see HMS getting the shaft here and say, well most everyone hates them, therefore, might as well kick them while they are down too! (This would only probably apply if you haven't done business with HMS).

Finally, Mark has been complaining about this since I started visiting this site at least 6 months ago. Why no legal action against HMS? If he was hit for $22K (or whatever) why does he insist on slamming HMS here and not in the courts? Must not have a case.

Don't get me wrong, maybe Mark is correct, but all this crap isn't helping me a bit. And this poll must be a joke --- no way 54 votes in less than 6 hours, in the middle of the night!!

Hey Frank... you have some good points.... you would be suprised though.... I have a list of IP addresses and times for each vote.... and they are very spread out....

are people trying to work around the measures to multiple votes.... yes, I can see it, but very few... AND it goes both ways... people voting yes and no...

FikseGTS and all others:

This is very exciting that we have found software and a site to poll different topics... but as has been brought up by Frank, it would only be fair if we can confidently confirm the logic of the package (is there any possibility that it is counting wrong, not eliminating duplicates, etc) before we allow this site to be used for this purpose.

Additionally, at that point that we confirm this, I would think it best to have EVERY vendor listed so we can confirm negatives vs positives of all.

Please feel free to e-mail me any documentation on the logic of this package, the "test" they use to see if you voted already, and a confirmation of the testing they did prior to offering this package to the general public.
