Okay, been down this road before, but thought I'd ask again.

I am looking for a 1:18 version of the only race R/T 10, the Rent A Car Systeme le Mans car. I think it was produced by Bburago.

I have a good collection of Porsche racing GT1's and would be willing to trade a few for one of these R/T 10's.

Yes, I love my Viper, but used to own and be into Porsches, so that's where these come from. Some really beautiful cars, most out of production and some unusual European models.

If you have one of these R/T 10's and are interested please let me know via PM

Thanks.

So, hopefully I'm not just talking to myself here, but can someone tell me what were the models/manufactures/sizes of the Rent A Car Systeme Team RT10 - I have one of the few 1:43 Univeral Hobbies cars, but understand there was at least one 1:18car made as well

Thanks

Cool, thanks. Is that the pic of the 1:18? And, if you don't mind, what made that model?

I have only managed to pick up one, by Universal Hobbies, the 1:43 scale...but don't remember which number as I put it away for safe keeping.

Thanks.:2tu:

SMS made the 1:18th RT/10 racers and their very far and wide. Not to many of those and there a nice chunk of change.

I happened to do some searching for SMS yesterday while on the computer and came across a 1:18 scale #40 Rent a Car Systeme le Mans RT10 made by Bburago. It was listed as part of a collection that was being sold off by someone on our Viper site. I think it was awhile ago, but still, at least it shows there is another 1:18 scale RT10...though its another thing to actually find one.

Thanks

Thanks, I might just have to settle for having the 1:43 scale Univeral Hobbies #40 I picked up from a seller in London...found it totally by accident, brand new in box.:headbang:

SMS was a speciality company that customized 100 of each version of the RT/10R in 1/18th scale. These were produced over 10 years ago and were VERY limited as they were only sold in a specific region of Europe. I think it was either Germany or Italy. I had acquired one of each from Germany some years back and sold them both and wouldn't you know it, BOTH broke in transit to different customers! At that time; about 5 years ago, I sold them for $500 each I believe. If you need any other information, I will be glad to help.

$500 five years ago...yikes!!!:omg: I like having replicas of Vipers I like, but not at the expense of adding something to my "real" RT/10.

Looks like I will just be happy with the 1:43 version.

Thanks for the information, though!:2tu:

I have something very unique then. I have a burago 1:24 scale 1992 viper RT-10 lemans rent a car
KIT!

It is in a 2 tiered box with a plain looking RT 10 on top and another bx below it with the rent car decals, and yellow headlight inserts. Mine was sealed until I opened it up to see what was inside. It also contains a Burago mini catalog from 2001 inside also.

What is something like this worth? The burago code number is:59650 It is a very nice model with opening doors, trunk and hood.

I have the 1/43rd but believe 1/24 and a very, very small scale set was also made. I'll check my collection. I also have post cards and the Le Mans newspapers etc. I went to Le Mans that year and in 1996/97.
