So my son is going through one of our latest catalogs we get in the mail. "Dad, isn't that a Viper in the picture?" Yep. "Well then how can they advertise this?", he asks. I look and see this:

What is this? MAGNETIC decals for a FIBERGLASS (well, "composite resin") car?? I thought it was one of the more bizarre ads I had seen and I just HAD to call on it. They were ready for me:

Me: "Yes, I would like to find out how you got the magnetic decals to stick to the Viper in the catalog."

Exasperated saleswoman: "Sir, we apologize for that photo as it features the wrong decals."

Me: "So can I buy those decals?" (no intention, but curious)

ES: "No sir. Those decals were actually GLUED on to that Viper and we don't sell that style."

Me: "Uh, glued?"

ES: "That's what I am told, and sorry for misleading you."

Me: "Well now you have me worried about the glue on that person's car..."

ES: (laughing) "That's what we thought when we got the memo."

OK, so does anybody here have a '99/'00 RT/10 with decals glued to the side of their car? Better yet, anybody here have a metal Viper? Too funny...

GLUE? I wouldn't think so.... Maybe vinyl decal. A decal would use an adhesive (I guess it could be called glue) to adhere to the vehicle. It could then be removed when the owner wants it off.

Isn't there a type of vinyl that sticks without glue or other adhesive? Works via static electricity or something...just like the vinyl stickers they put on the inside of your windshield after an oil change.
