How do i remove the center console in an RT/10???

I've got the four screws out and it's completely loose. However, i can't get it out over the parking break. Do i need to disconnect the parking break so the handle will come straight up?

I CHANGED MY SHIFTER WITH SCOTT "TOOFST." YOU CAN REMOVE THE CENTER CONSOLE BY PULLING THE PARKING BRAKE UP AS FAR AS POSSIBLE AND SLIDING THE CONSOLE PAST IT. "TOOFST" REALLY KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO THIS SO YOU MAY WISH TO CONTACT HIM. GOOD LUCK!
