How much power and torque can a stock 1998 GTS clutch take? The car is stock now, but I am thinking about nitrous (150 shot or so). My previous car was a 1999 Trans Am with a forged 382ci LS6 with nitrous (700hp). I had trouble finding a clutch to hold the power well, due to the poor design on the F-bodies. Do the Viper clutches hold well? Thanks

I think Manny is using a stock clutch in his DLM GTS and he's putting down over 800 RWHP ! So a 150 Shot should be no problem.

I have a stock clutch and it seems to be doing well with 840rwhp and 800rwtq on DR's. As stated above, Manny's car takes a beating like a champ with over 860rwhp.

For nitrous specific applications, ask BTR what he is running. I can't imagine you'd have a problem with a 150 shot though. This stock clutch is unbelievably strong.

The wear probably has more with how much you feather it off the line. I have 92K+ miles on my stock clutch. Stock motor too.

When I dyno'd my engine at Arrow I know they were concerned about the clutch. Todd called the "IN THE KNOW" at D.C. and was told over 650HP they were not safe...FYI
