For IMCA dirt track racing you have to have a pedal that lets you pull up on the pedal as well as push down.

Their pedals get stuck all the time.

The pro/street cars I've done have an ignition kill/toggle switch to the right of the steering wheel. Most of the cars were high compression so you'd have to crank it over and then turn on the ignition anyway. We'd use a switch with the 1" lever as compaired to a 1/2 or smaller. The longer lever makes it easier for the driver to reach over with his shifter hand and slap the lever DOWN if she hange WFO! Safety will save the driver and/or the car.dj
