I got a new Viper today! (photo)

I made my usual stop at Amoco to fill the GTS up with Premium (thankfully the weatherman screwed up and we had a pretty nice day for the most part). I wandered into the store to grab a soda and the guy behind the counter (a super nice guy named Alex) says, "Here, I have a present for you." He hands me this:

Pretty cool, eh? I hadn't seen this one and it makes a nice little addition to my collection. And yes Tony, while I know there is a category for "collectibles" on the board, there isn't one for refueling. Figured I would give everybody a heads up the next time they get gas - ask for the Amoco Viper!

It's a 1:64 from Racing Champions and actually comes in a box (he gave it to me loose for that extra shock effect). They are available for sale (didn't ask how much). I will pick up a few extras and post what they cost from Amoco in the collectibles folder. Happy to help!

Hi Chris,
I tried to send you a PM but all I got was an error messafe page. I FOUND this car at a station near me. I'm leaving now to pick up 5 of them. Of course I'll keep one for my collection. I currently have a Monopoly, Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, as well as 6 other 1:64 Vipers. I also have a Detroit Tigers and a 1997 Racing Champions Prowlers.

If anybody needs one of these diecast, I picked up a few more last night. They were $1.99 each and a minimum eight gallon fill up - lucky I have a 35 gallon tank on my Yukon XL!

Ok here goes. I have 6 sets of the Amoco cars for sale. The set includes a Ram truck, Super Bird, Intrepid, and of course the Viper. These cars are going for $10.00 each on Ebay. You can get the whole set from me for $20.00. This includes shipping, for U.S. orders only. I'm sorry I don't have a picture of these great cars. Take my word for it they look nice. No idea. Having three gas guzzling vehicles, I ALWAYS fill up when I stop by! I have always paid $1.99 for them. Hope this helps!
