Idle speed alternates from normal to fast.

I know this topic's been addressed before, but what was the solution? My Viper idles at normal speed sometimes around 500rpm and over 1000 other times for no apparent reason. This is a real annoying problem in a beast like my '00 ACR in hot traffic. I'd prefer to drive the Viper more than my 23 year old 911.

Clean your IAC with sensor safe spray cleaner, it fixed my problem. Look on the passenger side throttle body next to the valve cover, two bolts and it comes off.

Idle hang has been discussed, check it out .....No conclusive solution as far as I remember.

Thanks cycleryan I'll try it this weekend. I sprayed a ton of throttle body cleaner through the intake tubes once after reading a related post, but it didn't help.
