I\'m convinced!
I've been lurking around these boards for about 6 months now but did not want to come out until I was SURE I was buying a Viper. My last car was a '97 Vortech blown Mustang Cobra and I'm driving a '99 Vette right now.
My long time admiration for the Viper (from a far) was turned into reality on a recent business trip to Las Vegas. Instead of stopping in at Budget for a midsize, I called up the folks at RAV and rented an RT-10. (Nice people, great outfit.) and now Im absolutely convinced! I'm buying myself a new RT-10! My company lease on the Vette is up in Dec.
Being new with Dodge, I had a few basic questions about the Viper. I hope between now and order date and delivery date, I can get some advice from some of the members here. This seems like a friendly enough place, so go easy on the new guy with some maybe not so new questions.
1. Do the new RT-10s come with soft and hard top? I want to be sure to get the hard top also. Have they always come with two tops?
2. Where's the best place to buy a new Viper? Here in South Florida or should I buy out of state?
3. In regard to color: There appear to be a limited number of colors offered every year. Are these individual colors specificly associated with certain years? Are these colors "set in stone" or can other colors be special ordered? Are there any limited edition RT-10s (paint/wheels/etc) coming out in 2002? (or have there ever been for that matter)
Any and all advice/comments most appreciated.
