So if yellow vipers get the strongest engines, do the blue GTS's get the strongest transmissions? That would make sense since my neighboor can squeel his tires in all 6 gears.

Someone else in the Viper club here has a maroon RT/10 from the factory and that has, I think 600HP STOCK!

He is absolutely right the yellows ones are the stronger ones, but he forgot to mention one lil thing. Its the first of the yellows (GEN I), not the yellow CREAM PUFF. PLUS, everyone knows stripes add weight and drag. My engine is sooo strong it shows through the hood hahahahahahaha

Let's have a little Gen I shoot out next weekend. My red vs. your yellow. BTW, green is just slow. My Jeep is green and my red viper seems to be much faster. I haven't taken the Jeep to the track yet but I am just using a seat of the pants guess.

OK let me git this straight:
White is derived by combining all the colors in the spectrum and black is derived by the abscense of any color. The speed of light is directly proportional to wave length of the color. For example blue is 5.5 microns and red is somewhat longer in the neighborhood of 7 microns I think, therefore I would conclude blue would be a tad faster than red).

Now considering:
The weight of the paint and the inclusion or exclusion of stripes has some bearing on speed as well. For example more colors must be mixed to obtain silver, grey etc. would add to the weight and the inclusion of stripes add to wind resistance and weight.

Therefore:
I would have to conclude that the closer you are to white in the color spectrum the slower. (eg yellow is very near white)

This means black with no stripes or roof (extra weight) is by far the fastest given equal driving ability of course.

and as far as sex appeal black wins hands down.

Actually, I would have to refute that.

Black absorbs light, there for increasing the weight when compared to a lighter color which reflect light, and thus is lighter.

Lighter is better, therefore.....

I would think that since our sapphire with silver stripes are
heavier due to the paint, DC must have installed the stronger motors in our cars to overcome the weight disadvantage we face, since we all know the any color blue GTS rules!!!

I would say that a lighter colored car would be better at a road course. The reasoning is, is that the light reflects off the paint. Hence, acting like a wing and front splitter, but for the whole car. Nice downforce. Also, sidepipe cars would also be more stable since the exhaust flow created can act as "stabilizers" on a nice curvey road or road coarse. The rear exhaust would be better for drag racing since it would get that extra boost from rear flowing exhaust.
