Hey Guys,

Just wondering besides some of the obvious things like old tires, paint, frame recall, and obvious oil leaks. Anything on the 97's we should take a look at more closely? My friend has been looking for a GTS for a long time and we think this might be the one! Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Martin,

Check out the valley of the engine under the intake manifold to make sure there is no oil there, that's where it pools if the front timing cover gives out. it's easy to spray down the outside of an engine to clean oil off of it before showing someone the car, harder to get it out of there. Also, make sure the clutch feels good and that the weather strip around the top of the window stanchion is in one piece as they are expensive to replace.

What color is it? Red or B/W?

Hey Nick, thanks for the advice, I was looking in my phone this morning for your number, thought I had it. You if anyone would know! Thanks for the advice, It is blue/white. Its for my friend Chris who comes with me to some of the events, sometimes he takes my car when I cant make it as well.

Thanks for the help!

I HOPE that you have run the VIN at a Dodge dealership...preferably BEFORE you look at the car !! Best of luck!!

Probably "no" to just calling a random dealer. May work at dealership where you have done/will do business. There are some privacy issues. YES to Chuck !!!
