From what I've read I should lower the car 1.5" in the front and 1.25" in the rear. The Penske suspension will be finished being installed on my car tomorrow and want to make all the necessary adjustments. It will be running on 19"/20" wheels. Am I correct in lowering it 1.5" in the front and 1.25" in the rear for best "look and performance"? These parts are going on my 2008 Coupe.

The thing will be SLAMMED and probably rub everywhere, 7/8" plus the settling that the springs will do should be more than enough if you want the performance also and not rubbing everywhere.

IMHO

Definitely don't want to deal with any rubbing. I will try 7/8" to start. Thanks for the advice.

I lowered my car just 1/2" after installing the Penske 8300 coilovers and it handles great with no rubbing or scraping on my driveway.

rubbing aint a problem. scrapping probably will.

You just gotta learn how to go up and down driveways/bumps when your slammed.

I think you would do the the 1.25 in the front, 1" in the rear.

What tires do you have on there? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if you have the same offset as stock, same overall tire widths and diamteters.. then the 19/20 should be exactly the same as the 18/19 setup as far as to how much you can safely lower the car.. right?

My 20" PS2 rears are 28" OD. The factory 19" PS2 is 27.2" OD. So there's another 3/8" or so of rub just in the tires, unless you go to a Pirelli 25 profile.

I think it depends on the profile. I run Pirellis with a 25 profile and they are about 1/8 shorter than stock.
