Is my left rear PS2 garbage or unsafe?

01 GTS. PS2 at that corner less than 1 year old. Puddle around tire. Brake fluid. Seal failure of the left (drivers) side brake caliper. Ran down the inside of the wheel,tire and formed a puddle. Replaced caliper etc. Is the tire garbage? Probably sat like that a couple of weeks. GTS Bruce

You should be fine. I would wash the tire good with soap and water and if you can't see any difference in sheen in that area after a good dry time, you're OK.

I would hit the inside of the wheel and tire with some Brake Kleen as well. Make sure you don't get the Brake Kleen on the polished face of the wheel as it may adversely affect the finish.

I use brake fluid to keep a shine on my tires, I think you should be fine.You might want to contact luke @ the tire rack for this question.
