Engine is leaking oil from back by flywheel cover at about 2 quarts in a 30 minute drive

Yes, there is a part called "Retainer, crankshaft rear oil seal, part # 4763 726" (thats for a 2001). That might be your problem. Call Chuck Tator when he gets back in town.

yes, not cheap.
Did you already check the pan gasket? Pan gasket can be changed on the car. Rear seal will require flywheel removal.

Dealer replaced my rear seal / retainer twice and pan gasket once. All the while it was the cam plug. Leaked quite a bit until they found it.

Vegas, the rear main is sold as a part of an aluminum "U" shaped plate that bolts to the rear of the block. It will require tranny and flywheel removal. after flywheel is off, you will see the plate held in with 8-10 bolts. If you already have the pan off you will see this plate at the rear.

That sounds like a alot of oil for a rear main seal. I would almost have to think if that was the case something would have to caused alot of damage for it to leak that much (ex excess crank movement). Therefore if your engine has good oil pressure I would bet it is something else.
When did you notice this and how long has it been like this?
